The Chance Initiative, Nepal

The Chance Initiative has been Dr Christie Lam, Varun Khanna and Rob Kuipers’s project for a few months. The initiative’s website which consolidates all the efforts of their project area in Nepal, and creates a visual and written record of the events in the project area was made and launched on the one year anniversary of the great Nepal earthquake.

 

The Chance Initiative is a long term project that brings together various organizations, communities and individuals aiming to empower families that have lost their home and livelihood in a terrible natural disaster in Nepal to rebuild their life and community.

HUS Tea Party

A tea party for students in the school of Human Sciences was held on April 7. It was organized by the OIE (The Office of International Exchange in Human Sciences).  About 60 students (Japanese students and international students) joined the party and had a good time.
